San Carlos, Arizona – The San Carlos Apache Tribe proudly announces the 2nd Annual Cattlemen’s Conference, presented by CKP Insurance, taking place April 21-25, 2025, at the Pavilion / Apache Gold Casino in San Carlos, AZ. This year’s theme, “Foundations for Quality Herefords: Strength in Unity,” highlights the importance of collaboration and excellence in building a sustainable and profitable cattle industry.
Hosted by the San Carlos Apache Cattlemen’s Association, the conference will bring together ranchers, industry leaders, and experts to share knowledge, strategies, and best practices that elevate the quality of Apache cattle. Topics will include genetics, herd management, grazing techniques, and maximizing market value to ensure local ranchers can compete effectively in today’s evolving cattle industry.
“By focusing on quality and unity, we can build a stronger future for Apache ranching,” said Councilman Simon Hooke, a key organizer of the event. “This conference is about equipping our ranchers with the knowledge and resources they need to produce high-quality cattle that meet industry standards and command top dollar.”

Sponsors will have the chance to showcase their products and services, connect with the local ranching community, and support the growth of quality Hereford cattle in the region.
Commitment to Growth, Quality, and Sustainability
Despite ongoing challenges such as drought and shifting market conditions, the San Carlos Apache Cattlemen’s Association remains dedicated to advancing the local cattle industry.
